23 Minutes In Hell Podcast

During my 23 Minutes in Hell, the vision that God gave me, I only thought of three people. Each person was significant. This showed me that people retain their full memory in hell, just as the rich man in Luke 16 who Jesus told us about.

The first person I thought of was my wife. I knew she was up on the surface of the earth, and me far below. I would never see her again, and could not even have the satisfaction of saying goodbye. To have no finality with your loved ones is extremely sorrowful beyond what words can describe.

Have you ever said, “I can never forgive that person because of what they have done to me?” Many of us have.

We’ve either uttered those words or held on to those thoughts. When we entertain those deadly thoughts, we forget how much Jesus Christ has forgiven us. If we understood the seriousness of our unforgiveness, we would learn to be quick to forgive others. Eventually, it will cause physical harm to our bodies, pollute our soul and possibly jeopardize our eternal destination.

In this New Year we have an opportunity to pursue the Lord and to know Him on a deeper level. We can make a fresh commitment to be available to the Holy Spirit’s leading and to share the truth about salvation with more people. God has graciously given the world this window of time. May we take advantage of it. Sharing with others about how to avoid hell and gain heaven is the most important issue we all face.

Why does the Bible say we are to seek the Kingdom of God? What does the Kingdom consist of?

The Kingdom of God, also referred to as the Kingdom of Heaven, includes sharing the gospel (the good news)...about salvation through Jesus Christ.

That Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures. - 1 Corinthians 15:3-4

The gospels record the good news that Jesus preached and demonstrated which also includes physical and mental healing, deliverance from demons, provision, protection, and eternal life!

The preaching of the Gospel is to show man the way of salvation, which gives us the only way into heaven...the way to the Kingdom of God!

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. - Hosea 4:6

The Bible demonstrates that God’s people were living in rebellion against Him, and God said they will be destroyed because of it. The word “destroyed” carries the meanings “cause to cease, cut off, perish, to be undone.” Their condition was serious. The prophets came to rebuke the sin of the people, and to declare God’s coming judgment so they might repent.

Is there an area of your life that you are ignoring? Are you rejecting God's knowledge? Perhaps the Lord has been dealing with you to forgive someone. Maybe He wants you to reconcile with another believer, a family member, or neighbor. The Lord may be prompting you to be the bigger person, humble yourself, and apologize.

Throughout our lives, we will all experience some kind of uncomfortable situation. Starting a new job, moving to a new neighborhood, or meeting new family members through marriage can all feel out of our comfort zone.

I experienced something way out of my comfort zone when I began to share the vision God gave me of hell. Most people don't know that I always had a fear of public speaking. My worst class in school was English, because it involved speaking and writing, both of which I disliked. I was not skilled with writing a story, or standing in front of people to deliver a speech, and now I was faced with having to do both.

Most of us would like to have favor with God and with man. The question is, "How do we acquire it?" Some people teach that all you have to do is claim it. However, this is not the case. Jesus gave us an example of how we find Godly wisdom in Luke 2:52. It says, “Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man.”

Notice Jesus grew in wisdom. Wisdom is the principal thing, then favor will come after attaining it. This is the first and most important step.

Scripture also indicates that a life of humility, and truthfulness, and living in a Godly manner will cause us to find favor.

We are very grateful that many Americans woke up to the world around us, which was clearly seen in our historic election last week. The Lord was merciful to us and to our nation. As Christians, we are called to walk in the fear of the Lord, discern good from evil, and hate what God hates. This is reflected in how we live, which includes how we vote.

There are very specific behaviors that God hates. As you read and hear them, ask yourself these questions: Do I hate them too? Am I guilty of any of these sins? Do I need to repent of any?

It's hard to believe that there are Christians, and even Biblical scholars, who still insist that the fires of hell are neither painful, nor meant for eternal torment. They have decided for themselves that the fires are intended for consumption and destruction.

Revelation 21:8 says the unbelieving…and all liars…shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone. The lake of fire is burning, and unbelievers will be cast into it. How could a burning lake of fire not involve pain? Why would this be stated as a threat if there was no ongoing pain and burning?

In Matthew 23:33 Jesus said to the Pharisees, "How can you escape the damnation of hell?” He told us there is no escaping damnation. To say that the fires of hell are meant for consumption, and not eternal torment, is to be ignorant of the scriptures.

The book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ gives us a detailed account of what to expect in the last days. It is the revelation of Jesus Christ’s second coming, and His wrath being executed upon earth’s inhabitants. It describes the world leader known as the Antichrist, who is possessed by Satan, and makes war against those who become Christian during the seven-year tribulation period. It details the wrath of Jesus Christ (the Lamb), and the wrath of Satan against believers, and against Israel. It also describes the wrath of God poured out in full measure. 

Revelation also speaks to us of hell. It tells us that anyone not found written in the Book of Life will be "cast into the lake of fire.” This will be the most terrifying experience for every person that chose to ignore Jesus Christ and thereby reject Him.
