Why The Gap Theory Is False

In this episode, we examine the origins and claims of the so-called gap theory, which was developed to support an old earth perspective and the idea of evolution requiring millions or billions of years.

Advocates argue that there is a gap between Genesis 1:1 and Genesis chapter 1:2, highlighting the phrase “and the earth was without form and void.” They suggest that God would not create the earth empty and uninhabitable, and therefore propose a previous world existing before the creation of Adam—an alleged sin-filled world ruled by Satan that God later destroyed, leaving the earth “without form and void.”

However, when we look to the authority of Scripture, we find no evidence of a devil, sin, humanity, bloodshed, or death prior to the six literal days of creation. According to the biblical account, everything was created within those six days, encompassing the entirety of earth’s history.

Revelation 22:19 warns not to add to or take away from the Word of God. The discussion of a gap theory challenges Scripture and contradicts the plain meaning of the biblical text.

Jesus' Second Coming

Scripture also promises a new heaven and a new earth, where the curse will be removed and God’s purposes fully realized.

His return will be visible to the entire world—He first came as a sacrificial Lamb, but He will come again in glory as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

Though some question the delay, the Bible reminds us that God’s judgment is certain, and as we study Scripture and observe the signs, it is clear that His coming is near.

Apostasy or Revival

Many Christians are praying and believing for revival. Moves of God are occurring around the world, especially in some of the most persecuted countries. Underground churches are thriving in some nations, most with a dear cost – either threat of imprisonment or death. After Charlie Kirk’s assassination, we witnessed an explosive awakening among the younger generation turning to God. It is encouraging to see many young people buying Bibles, going to church, and seeking the Lord.

Sadly, we have also witnessed numerous moral failures from prominent ministers, pastors and leaders within the Church. We have witnessed unprecedented confusion and a great departure from biblical, moral and traditional family.

Society at large has departed from the living God. There has been a great departure from Truth. The spiritual warfare is very real on every level.

Is Jesus Really God?

Is Jesus really God? Yes, absolutely! We’ll discuss a few reasons why He is God, but first - have you noticed the recent uptick in attacks against the Lord Jesus Christ?

Ex-CNN anchor Don Lemon’s recent arrest for his role in the disruption of a church service in St. Paul, Minnesota has caused his false claim about Jesus Christ from 2020 to resurface.

In the CBN News article dated July 10, 2020 Don Lemon was quoted as saying, “Here’s the thing.” Lemon told fellow CNN anchor Chris Cuomo, who is Catholic. "Jesus Christ — if that’s who you believe in, Jesus Christ — admittedly was not perfect when He was here on this earth.”

This is a false statement.

There is overwhelming proof of the existence of Jesus, His life, death and resurrection, and His identity. He said He and the Father are One. He also lived a sinless life. 

If a person chooses to deny Jesus Christ, it is not because that person doesn't have enough evidence. It is because the person ignores the truth and walks in blindness.

You Will Not Be Annihilated

"Annihilationism is the belief that those who die apart from saving faith in Jesus Christ will be ultimately destroyed. Thus, annihilationists reject the historic view of hell as conscious, endless punishment.” - Dr. Christopher W. Morgan

Hell is eternal, and people do exist there. To remove hell from existence takes away the urgency to witness, the desire to live righteously and obey God, and the respect and fear of Almighty God.

Accountable To The Creator

Every one of us is accountable to the Creator, no matter where we live, how we were raised, or what we were taught.

Many people will say they just can’t believe in one God who created all things. They even scoff at the idea. People can believe if they choose but it’s their stubborn pride and arrogance that keep them from God.

Man knows better, but purposely pushes God away.

Will You Cease To Exist?

Let us make man in our image. - Genesis 1:26 

If we are made in the image of God, and God is eternal, then so are we. The false belief that says people who die without knowing Jesus merely cease to exist after death is called Annihilationism. 

This annihilationism teaching is unbiblical. It underestimates the seriousness of sin, belittles the work of the cross, and lessens the supreme holiness of God.

Turn Loose The Past

The new year is the perfect time for new beginnings. But before we can move forward with God, we must obey this verse in Philippians 3:13-14:

“Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.”

If you are under condemnation, depressed and discouraged about past sin, it’s like saying, “the blood of Jesus isn’t enough to give me a fresh start.”
