Will You Be One Of the Deceived?

Looking at world events over the last two years, it’s clear to see we are living in an age of great deceit. Don’t be deceived by those who have influence, power or celebrity status. These people will use enticing words to sway even Christians with arguments that seem right.

Believers should not be so quick to support any person or cause, even when it’s accepted by the masses. The enemy will tell you that you are not being a “good Christian” if you offend people with the truth, or oppose their worldly beliefs. Don’t be fooled by the enemy’s tactics. Don’t ignore your spiritual discernment. Demons are influencing the minds of many people today so we must be especially on guard against being deceived.

How Long Will The Tribulation Last?

How long will the great tribulation period on earth last? Some believe that the tribulation is only three and a half years, while others believe it is a seven-year period. We go to the Bible to answer this question as well as trusted, supporting commentaries for added insight.

This is one topic you will want to be sure of as more and more people today question the tribulation to come. The world around us is hurling toward end times and many people, even those outside the faith, are beginning to see it.

Christians And Politics

In spite of the decline of moral values in our country, many people believe that Christians should stay out of politics and government affairs. They think we ought to busy ourselves with sharing the Gospel and leave the politics to someone else. While it’s true we want to be kingdom focused and share the Good News with the world… this doesn’t mean believers should remove themselves from decisions that affect the cities and states they reside in.

If Christians keep out of politics, who will oppose decisions that harm humanity as a whole? What about things that harm children? And things that threaten religious freedom? Who else will defend these moral causes?

Why Did God Create Mankind?

Jesus just told us that the majority of people are going to hell. God knew that many will end up in hell and yet He created mankind anyway. We sometimes forget that God made every person in His own image and with that, gave each of them a free will to choose. Our decisions have consequences, including where we choose to spend eternity.

But what about all the hundreds of millions of people who choose to believe in Jesus Christ and go to heaven? Should they be denied the most amazing gift of eternal life in heaven because of those who are foolish enough to reject Christ?

God’s Guidance In Perilous Times

Two weeks ago Bill and Annette Wiese left for Florida to fulfill speaking engagements in the area. They had no idea they would end up in the middle of Hurricane Ian. Annette describes what they encountered, and how they relied on God for His guidance during those uncertain days. 

The experience was a reminder of how much we need to depend on God for direction, most especially when we are faced with perilous situations. No matter what is happening around us, when we seek Him first, we can turn to Him in faith for clarity and protection.

Do Good Works Matter?

Christians know that good works don't save us. We are saved by His grace through faith, and not by works. But what about after we are saved? The Bible lists many verses where we're told to be full of good works.

Jesus said in Luke 6:46, “But why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do the things which I say?" That begs the question, "If works don't follow a person’s salvation...are they really saved?"

Do We Follow Jesus Out Of Fear?

People are either saved by experiencing His goodness (Romans 2:4) or through the fear of being cast into hell (Jude 23). Jesus told us He is the only way of salvation and sadly, many people say they don’t believe Him. This is why He said in Matthew 12:37 that a person’s own words will condemn them to hell. Those who reject Jesus Christ have good reason to fear the God they will meet on Judgment day.

Questions For An Atheist

Why do you think a Christian takes the time to talk to an Atheist? Why should we share the way of salvation? After all, there is no money in it, and we could be doing something enjoyable for our selves. Why should we use our time preaching on street corners, passing out Bible tracts, or sharing Jesus with people who mock or despise us?

It is because the love of God compels us. We know where the unsaved are going when they die, and we are trying to influence them to choose the right road. God loves mankind and He doesn’t want even one person to go to hell.

After Demons Are Cast Out

Did you know that some people can be worse off AFTER they’ve been delivered from demons? The Bible provides sober warnings to the person who fails to take heed and be on guard, and instead goes back to playing with sin.

We can actually do more harm than good when Jesus sets a person free from demons if we neglect to instruct them in spiritual growth and wisdom.
