Evil exists in the world because Satan is the god of this world (2 Corinthians 4:4). Jesus told us in John 10:10, “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” The killing, stealing and destroying are not from God, but from Satan.
Another reason for the rampant evil in the world is that God's people don't pray. Jesus told us to pray, “Thy kingdom come, thy will be done.” Why would He tell us to pray for His will to be done if it just happens automatically? If we don’t pray, His will is not done, and God doesn’t get involved.

P.S. Another reason for evil in the world -- specifically sickness and death -- is that most of Jesus’ followers have not learned how to heal the sick, as He commanded and commissioned us to do in Mark 16:17-18+20. Also, we have not been using our Matthew 16:18-19 authority over the demonic to set the captives free (Luke 10:19), and to give out the Gospel of repentance to deliver souls from (Matthew 28:16-20). These things are entirely possible, or Jesus would not have commanded them.

Excellent, excellent, excellent! I am so blessed and instructed by this podcast. May the Lord bless you abundantly for your labors! As you know, we are living in evil times when there is much compromise in the American Church. Hyper grace and hyper sovereignty doctrines are running rampant and, quite frankly, many church goers in charismatic churches have cast aside the Word of God as being old fashioned and legalistic. Thank you, Bill and Annette, for digging into the Word!
