It’s believed that purgatory is a temporary place of punishment, allowing a person to undergo a process of cleansing. This means that once a person has “paid for their sin” or been “cleansed of it” they can then enter into heaven. Does paying for our sin with time equate to salvation?

For those who argue about spirits walking on the earth. I feel it could be that individuals ; It’s their punishment. That’s that soul’s personal eternity. Think about it. They’re forever alone because they didn’t appreciate what they had in life.
